HYDROPHILIC POLYURETHANE RESIN FOR SEALING INJECTIONS
Description:
Stickfoam 1K is a single-component hydrophilic injection material designed to fill joints or repair leaks in concrete, reinforced concrete or brick structures. It forms a flexible foam in contact with water. Stickfoam 1K from Cover Technologies is ideal in places where there is movement of the substrate above 10%. The resin expands and cures to a resilient, flexible closed-cell foam. Stickfoam 1K reacts with water after injection to fill empty spaces and close water leaks .
Stickfoam 1K is resistant to wet-dry cycles and temperature changes. Stickfoam 1K is used as a single-component system for injection in wet conditions or as a two-component system in a 1:1 ratio with water as the second component for injection into dry cracks. By adjusting the amount of water as the second component, we interfere with the elasticity and strength of the foam.
WHAT IS HYDROPHILIC POLYURETHANE RESIN?
It is a water-soluble material that is made of a single component. It consists of polyurethane, a polymer that includes polyol and isocyanate. Polyurethane resin forms elastic foam in contact with water and then hardens. It is an environmentally friendly product , which is a big plus. It is not sensitive to fluctuations in ambient temperature. It can increase its original volume several times.

APPLICATIONS AND INDICATIONS FOR USE OF HYDROPHILIC POLYURETHANE RESIN
The basic application of this resin is filling joints and cracks in concrete , reinforced concrete or brick. Stickfoam 1 resin is used in the form of injection, i.e. introduction into the crack. It copes with stopping water leaks between the joints of individual parts made of concrete. It is used in sealing swimming pools, sewage treatment plants, foundations, wells and even in gluing cracked pipes exposed to water leakage. It is also used to seal expansion joints. Even moving and leaky cracks in concrete are not afraid of it. It can be used in places where the movement of the substrate is more than 10%. In the case of wet sealing, it is used as a single-component system. The situation is different in the case of dry sealing. Then it is used as a two-component system, in combination with water. The temperature at which the Stickfoam 1 hydrophilic polyurethane resin should be stored is from 5 to 30 degrees Celsius. It is packed in 25 kilogram canisters and the expected shelf life of this resin is approximately 1 year.
