FLOWFOAM 1K
SINGLE-COMPONENT, VERY LOW VISCOSITY POLYURETHANE RESIN
DESCRIPTION:
Single-component, hydrophobic, solvent-free polyurethane injection system with extremely low viscosity. Ideally suited for injection of cracks, water leaks in concrete and masonry structures. Reaction with water produces semi-rigid polyurethane foam (slightly flexible). The material is used for injection using a single-component pump. The material should be used with a catalyst in the amount of 6 to 10%.
APPLICATION:
– stopping dynamic leaks from moving or stationary cracks of very small width
– stopping leaks under constant high pressure
– filling large voids, gravel nests, cracks in structural connections
DESCRIPTION:
Single-component polyurethane resin with excellent physical and chemical properties. One of the Cover Technologies product range . It is widely used as a single-component, water-resistant and solvent-free pressure injection system . It will work wherever minor repairs of water leaks in concrete and masonry structures need to be made. As a result of the reaction with water, a slightly flexible polyurethane foam is created. Thanks to the release of carbon dioxide, the foam penetrates very well into various types of cracks. As a result, the final product does not shrink or swell, has good compressive strength and approximately 20-fold volume expansion.
The material is dosed using a single-component pump and should be used with a catalyst concentration of 6-10%, depending on the required reaction speed. Injection packers and single-component pumps are used for repairs. The uncured Floawfoam 1K resin is brown in color with a very low viscosity of 55 mPa*s and a bidirectional error tolerance of 15 mPa*s. It is also a very hygroscopic product and foams quite strongly in open space.
The resin is sensitive to temperature and humidity and should therefore be stored in specially prepared places, where the temperature is preferably between 10-30 °C, where the risk of water getting into the barrel is minimal.
The product is sold in plastic canisters (20 kg of resin), while the catalyst with a viscosity of 21 mPa*s and a slightly lower density than the resin is sold in 1kg and 2kg versions. All precautions must be taken, as the resin releases fumes that adversely affect human health.
APPLICATION:
Floawfoam 1K resin is widely used for:
stopping dynamic leaks from moving or stationary micro-cracks of very small width,
stopping leaks at constant high pressure,
filling large voids , gravel nests,
sealing minor defects in the structure of concrete or walls, scratches, cracks,
saturation of defects in working joints, diaphragm walls, and point leaks.
