TWO-COMPONENT AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF SODIUM SILICATE WITH VERY LOW VISCOSITY
Stabisoil 2K is a two-component adhesive-penetrating system, component A of which is a mixture of aqueous solutions of sodium silicate, and component B is an aqueous solution of organic substances capable of hardening silicates. Stabisoil 2K is created by mixing components A and B in a 1:1 volume ratio.
APPLICATION:
– strengthening and stabilizing soils during the construction of underground roads and tunnels
– consolidation of loose substrates,
– sealing during the construction of underground facilities, earth embankments, or excavation works,
STABILOIL 2K
It is a two-component adhesive-penetrating system , which is prepared for use by mixing the components in a 1:1 ratio. Component A is a mixture of aqueous solutions of sodium silicate, while component B is a solution of organic substances that have the ability to harden silicates, i.e. harden component A.
Cover Technologies' product can be used to strengthen and stabilize soils on underground road and tunnel construction sites, to consolidate loose substrates and to seal earthworks, excavation works or underground facilities. It creates a permanently bonded substrate that is fully waterproof. The product is characterized by low viscosity, making it easy to clean using water, which is a great convenience and time-saving when cleaning equipment. In addition, Stabisoil 2K does not require employees to wear special eye and respiratory protection equipment, because it is not harmful to humans and living organisms.
THE MAIN ADVANTAGES OF THE ADHESIVE SYSTEM ARE:
very low viscosity and the ability to easily clean the equipment used to apply the adhesive system with water;
the preparation is easy to apply, both by spraying and injection;
high penetration capacity of fine-grained materials, durability of bonding and consolidation of the substrate;
ensuring good waterproofness of soaked materials;
no harmful effects on humans and living organisms;
the preparation is non-flammable .
Stabisoil 2K components are delivered to the recipient ready for use, they should be combined using an injection pump equipped with a static mixer. The second possible solution is to use a single-component pump with the material previously mixed in a 1:1 ratio.
In order to achieve the best mixing of the components, it is recommended to use a static mixer in combination with a mixing head. The hardening time of the mixture depends on the temperature of the structure and on the groundwater.
